PS3 Bluetooth not working with XU4 & Dongle
-
Pi Model or other hardware: ODROID XU4
Power Supply used: 6A
RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): 4.3.8
Built From: XU4-ORA-Base-RetroPie4.3.8-Public-v1.img
USB Devices connected: Bluetooth dongle (purchased from ameridroid)
Controller used: XBox1, PS3
Error messages received: N/A
Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant):
Guide used: Multiple guides on youtube (but all are for raspberry Pi)The issue I am having is that the PS3 controller when connected is recognized by Retropie and works no with no issue when connected via cable; however I have been unable to to connect it via bluetooth. The bluetooth screen under Retropie Config recognizes there is a PS3 controller but I am lost as to how to actually connect it. I've used this website: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/PS3-Controller and several youtube videos that all say the same thing. I have noticed when I try to install from source (per that guide) I always get an error message. Is there anything specific to the XU4 that I need to do differently than the PI? Any help or links is GREATLY appreciated; I'm still stuck using wires and I want to only need them for charging!
Cheers,
Rich -
@loadp2004 Have you paired (Bluetooth) the device ? You need to pair it first, before trying to configure it in ES. Try the regular BT setup without installing any driver.
