Stretch and RetroPie

Is there anything I need to do differently when building a new system with the Raspberry Pi 3B+ other than using the Stretch OS? I’m building a new system from scratch for my brother and I’m curious if there’s anything special I have to do that I didn’t do before? Are all the required modifications to the backend system done?

@hansolo77 No, you don't need to do anything special.

@hansolo77 One think that's mandatory in Raspbian Stretch for the 3b+ is setting the correct Country when configuring the WiFi connection. The rest should be the same
If wanting to use WiFi on the new Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+, you will need to first configure the WiFi Country via raspi-config before it will work. It’s under menu 4 of raspi-config (Localisation options).

Ok great! I haven't bought the Pi yet, still trying to get the rest of the hardware together. I just wanted to prepare myself in the event I can't get a regular Pi 3b from the store and have to get the Pi 3b+ instead. It's gonna be the best build yet. :)

you don't have to even "do" that - current retropie images use raspbian stretch.
