      Hey guys,

      Simple question as per the title. What forum software is this site running on?

      Thanks

        is all I could find. Where did you find the information about nodeBB? I was searching for this too a while ago.

          Sarcasm? It's open source so it's free if you can set it up yourself though they have paid plans if you prefer for nodebb to set up and host it.

            @herb_fargus I have a question for you. How much do you like mythic beasts and what is the interface, addons, etc., if any, like? Or is it a blank slate? I have had a local web provider for many, many years and after a long run they are now upping my charges to match the current rates for the modern plans for the last 8 years.

              @thedatacereal not sure what they offer on their web hosting only. For the virtual I use it's a vanilla Debian install (can install whatever you like). Email them - they are a fantastic hosting provider run by geeks who know their stuff.

                @herb_fargus I miss-read their site then. It looked like it was paid all the way, but they gave it out for free for project-driven sites like this.

                  @mrjordaaany The software is fully open source, it's not just free for certain projects. The 'free for open source projects' offer is for them to host the whole installation, but you're free to install it on your own system.

                    @mitu Thanks, noted.

                    Think I'll stay with myBB for now. I know it enough and it runs on my shitty hosting server.
