SNES emulators doesn't work
-
I have just installed the retropie in Debian 9 and i cannot emulate SNES games, I have tryed all the emulators and installed all differents packages.
I hope someone can help me.
Thanks -
@mkmonreal SNES emulator is installed automatically, you don't need to install anything if you use the RetroPie-Setup script. Have you copied any ROMs to the
snes
ROM folder ? Are the ROMs visible in Emulationstation after you copied them ?
Please give more details about your system, as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. -
I'm running retropie 4.4.2 on Debian 9
i've a 64 bits machine if it is useful.
All roms are visible, but it doesn't run.
i'm trying to install retroarch, i guess that's the problem.Parameters:
Executing: /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch -L /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-snes9x2010/snes9x2010_libretro.so --config /opt/retropie/configs/snes/retroarch.cfg "/home/miguel/RetroPie/roms/snes/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV - Turtles in Time (U) [!].zip" --appendconfig /dev/shm/retroarch.cfg
/opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh: line 1008: /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch: No such file or directory -
it worked!!

@mkmonreal So, what was the problem ? Guessing by the error above, you uninstalled RetroArch by mistake ?
-
@mitu I had the same issue! I also noticed somehow all the files inside the /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch directory was missing, so I forced the updated in the core packages configuration menu inside the Retropie Setup screen. (Manage packages -> core -> retroarch -> Update from binary)
