    Re: Dualshock controllers on 4.4 with 3B+

    Hi

    Complete rookie here and need help as getting very frustrated.
    I've just loaded retropie 4.4 on an sd and im running it with a raspberry pi 3 model b+. I have two official ps3 controllers and have been trying to connect just one so far via Bluetooth.
    I've been following the github guide here

    https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/PS3-Controller

    But I just can't connect wirelessly. It works fine when wired. Now the setup went fine. Everything installed properly.

    During set up it asks to connect controller via USB it then says afterwards disconnect from USB, press PS button to connect via Bluetooth. But it doesn't connect.

    Where am I going wrong?
    I'm not too technical so don't know how to setup using command lines etc. Instead I've used the retropie menu system as the guide above demonstrates.

    Can somebody please give me a solution...its driving me nuts!!

      @dill83 i think you need to have internet connection. you have to go into retropie setup and go into manage packages. Then something about drivers. In there, with the remote plugged in, you need to choose the right driver for what type of ps3 controller you have. After that you can unplug your controller and it will sync. You then need to set it up in emulationstation

        @edmaul69 I do have an Ethernet wire plugged in but I'll try and set up Wi-Fi to see if it makes a difference but when I followed your steps previously I couldn't get it synced

          @dill83 update retropie setup first.
