All of my Sega CD roms open as Game Gear. When they start to load the custom Loading Sega CD image is shown and when it actually loads its the Game Gear bezel and the Game Gear settings.

I've checked and there is a Sega CD config in retroarch pointing to Sega CD Configs and a bezel so I am at a loss as to where the disconnect is happening.

@swaggers You probably used the 'Save Core Override' in the RGUI at one point during your configuration and it also saved the bezel options. See this recent topic for an explanation and a solution - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/18625/overlays-for-different-systems-that-use-the-same-core-system-config-file-won-t-load-resolved/3.

@mitu Thanks for replying. I must still be missing something. If I load a rom and go in and select "lr-picodrive" then it loads properly so it's definitely an issue with lr-genesis-plus-gx.

I must be missing where the override is located in the file structure as the only settings I can see are in the opt/retropie/configs/segacd where I believe they should be.

          I don't have anything in /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-genesis-plus-gx

Check the RetroArch overrides in /home/pi/.config/retroarch for the lr-genesis-gx core, they might have save your overlay settings.

Perfect. Thanks. That was the folder I didn't know the location of. It did have hard coded video aspect and overlay. All is good now.
