      Hello @ll,

I couldn't get the config file of the new build of Retropie 4.0 beta - but it seems that the old and the new Version 3.81. and 4.0 are both without pantherlord Support.

      root@retropie:/# dmesg | grep Joystick
[ 2.895329] usb 1-1.4: Product: Twin USB Joystick
[ 3.927414] input: Twin USB Joystick as /devices/platform/soc/3f980000.usb/usb1/1-1/1-1.4/1-1.4:1.0/0003:0810:0001.0001/input/input2

Because I couldn't get my two psx Controllers working :(
They are connected through this connector -> CSL – Gamepad Adapter/Konverter | PS2 Controller zu USB Controller am PC / MAC | Neues Modell von Amazon

Everything which might be helpful is welcome.

      Thanks and best regards

@badmage I use PS2 controllers with a very similar adapter with no issues. What do you mean with "not working"? It seems that they were recognized by the system. Did you configure it in emulationstation?

          Hi Meleu,

I tried to configure it in emulationstation but I can press what ever I want no reaction by the System.
Doesn't matter if I try the button analog or not. There is no effect.
The controllers don't give any signal to the System.

I used it on win7 machine - there I was able to see the function.

          So what I'm doing wrong?

@badmage does it work with jstest?

            Try this command:

            jstest /dev/input/js0

            And press some buttons.

              @meleu - no unfortunately it doesn't work.
I also tried everything from here -> https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Gamepad
              Without effect :(

              it seems like this:
              https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2207580

That's why I'm asking if there are some "generic" modules missing ?!

But if you are saying that this works on your side without problems I don't understand ....

@badmage actually I use this very cheap generic adapter:
                undefined

It's similar to yours, but I think they are detected differently.

I've noticed something really strange on the report of the ubuntuforums link...

They were detected 27 axes!!!! WOW!!! Usually it's only 6.

Sorry, I don't know what is happening or how to solve it... I would suggest you to buy the model I own, but it's so generic that have no brand.

                  @meleu interesting - what I don't understand - why it works with win7.
Could you give me your usb Details of this Adapter?
                  lsusb -vv

Then I can check if I can buy it somewhere else - or ask my Chinese friends :)

I'm from Brazil, and I bought it here. It seems that you are from Germany (you posted an amazon.de link), maybe this?:

please also give me the Output from "dmesg | grep Joystick"

                      Surprise!

                      Joystick (Twin USB Joystick) has 6 axes (X, Y, Z, Rz, Hat0X, Hat0Y)

@badmage @meleu mine actually has hde logo on it. I bought it off of ebay. Mine also show up as twinshock. Do not buy single controller version. They still are a two player circuit board and the plug you have available is hooked up to player 2.

I use this adapter on my raspi1 since 2013. I don't remember the RetroPie version. (Emulationstation was really ugly those days! LOL)

Now I use it in a raspi2 as well.

unbelivable strange - with the blue Adapter - it's received by today - the Controllers working quite well :) :(
Same setup and configuration .... I don't know what is wrong with the other adapter because with win7 it's working ...

Anyway - thanks to you all for all the efforts!
