      @grant2258 Didn't feel like waiting... :)

      I compiled from your git (90f4a2c) and it worked straight away!

        @grant2258 apologies for interrupting as I've been out for a while and it's not clear from the thread. First of all, great job in working this into libretro!

        Is there any added compatibility versus the default Daphne we currently have on RetroPie? I'm specifically looking for Road Blaster compatibility as the PSX version is fine but the video quality is poor.

          its not me doing the leg work on this its twin alphix. Im just doing little clean ups I would like to get it to a testable /usable state even withut sound atm. The core is identical atm doesnt mean bug fixes cant come though. Older emulators tend to get some loving when the libretroed up

                    @pjft Like you I,m a great fan of Road Blaster and other laserdisc games. Some of them I have the psx versions of LD games, but as you said: the video quality is poor. The LD arcade game versions are the better versions because the audio and video dont suffer with compressions... I would love to play games like Road Blaster, Badlands and American Laserdisc Games in retropie.

                    I'm praying for a succefull Daphne update on retropie.

                        Loving what you have done with Ruckage's theme! I still think it is the best one out there for simple kiosk use. Hope he expands it soon.

                              I like that optimistic approach. It's a shame that Daphne hasn't seen any updates or fixes lately, but with any luck this libretro port could change that.

                                Yes not for the moment, and not too with the RA Daphne version. Because some one must port Daphne SINGE to Retroarch too. And with it it will be possible to make working all the games we want, there are only a SINGE script with M2v videos.

                                Life is game, just play it !

                                  Well I have isolated the problem that is causing the pi to crash in not really familiar with libmpeg2 at the moment but managed to trace it. Ill need to look into why this code it triggering for arm.

                                  https://github.com/grant2258/daphne/blob/ca7827fa2ccd6ff64d77b849ba50bd770caa4035/daphne/daphne-1.0-src/vldp2/vldp/vldp_internal.c#L1232

                                  if you want to run on the pi without freezes comment out

                                  //g_out_info.status = STAT_ERROR;

                                  I dont know if its a threads or condition issue ill take another look when im off work

                                    thats the plan, but with all the recent romsites shutting down im trying to get as many of them before its too late, i noticed that you cant even get the non digital leisure games to download officially via the daphne loader.

                                    however theres not many more laserdisc games im missing & need to locate that are known to be working in daphne/singe :-

                                      @grant2258 Actually, a note for anyone who's also looking for RoadBlaster.

                                      According to

                                      https://github.com/libretro/daphne

                                      it seems to suggest that RoadBlaster is working in the current libretro version, so if anyone is interested in in, might want to give it a go and see whether it's a misunderstanding.

                                        @pjft I have discussed about Road Blaster compatibility months ago with others here in Retropie forum. To all players the situacion are the same in Daphne pi, black screen.

                                        The compatibility list in Retropie github are a very accurate and you can see in following link:

                                          the version @pjft is referring to is the new w.i.p lr-Daphne not the current version available on the pi.
