@barcrest I can't find a link to the emulator source or a reference to it. Do you have one ?
EDIT: Ah, it's same news as - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/15861/ora-retropie-image-for-the-odroid-xu4/42. It seems it's Odroid specific (well, requires OpenGL ES 3), so I don't think it will work on the Raspberry Pi.

It would seem that way. So with this and the improved N64 speed on odroid it is looking like i might have to jump across to an odroid.

Hey guys and gals, glad to be here and thanks for having me, ok im new here but not to games or retropie, i also saw another emulator called Kronos(less cpu usage) and opengl 2.0 not 3.0(supposely) ,they have a source code but im not sure if its for our little machine https://github.com/FCare this would be awesome to see if it will work? I read areas like here https://www.ptt.cc/bbs/Emulator/M.1530598495.A.F04.html
Ive seen on other sites as well, id love to play dracula x, war craft 2 just the 2d games cos i know 3d is out of the question, i hope this is good news for us rpi3 and b+.

@notthesame the last time i spoke to FCare they had abandoned RPI/GLES 2.0 support, although they were still using it as a testing ground for other changes. looking at the latest PRs/commits, i think that's still the case. you could ask them, though.

Hello again everyone i went to talk to the guys over at the kronos forum and well got the answer we all of course not wanting and well i did get a answer, they were nice to give options, get a odroid, play from pc to pi(parsec) but i tired my pc and laptop is slow, also had someone to optimize but no go, the last option was to ask nova to 👀 if he would optimize for 2d games, they said they were not up for it since it would take time to get atleast just dracula x or shinobi on a launcher like og xbox n64 emu but yes it will take time to do this and its on this persons freetime, i might just get a odroid, im not sure if nova is gonna just do this for 1 single person and game, we can get more votes for our pi3.
Heres the fourm http://tradu-france.com/forumsmf/index.php?topic=552.0 if anybody wants to have help out or get a pi3 saturn 2d project going.
                    Thank you everyone.

@notthesame having a saturn "2d games emulator" running on pi3 is still totally unrealistic. Usage of gles3 is actually there to help with speed so you would end up with only the sh2 improvements over the old yabause, which means an emulator running at 10 fps instead of 5 fps. Don't bother people with pointless things, thanks.

On a sidenote, kronos is now available as an alternative saturn libretro core. It still requires a somehow decent computer (i think a dual 2.8ghz cpu with a gles3/gl3.3 compatible gpu would be able to run this pretty well)
