    Can I edit control map for individually games?

    I want to play Moon Patrol for Atari 5200
    The game requires "A" button to fire and "X" button to jump.

    I am using a USB classic NES controller so it has no "X" button. Only "A" and "B".

    I edited "/opt/retropie/configs/atari5200/retroarch.cfg" and added:

    input_player1_a_btn = 0
    input_player1_x_btn = 1

    It works.... But can I just do this for individual games, like just Moon Patrol? How do I do it on a per game basis???

      @hfgx1 Use the RetroArch GUI to re-map your buttons, then save the core remap once you're satisfied with the results - see https://retropie.org.uk/docs/RetroArch-Configuration/#core-input-remapping and the video linked from the page

        @mitu Thank You
        That led me to it.
        Many thanks.

        I got confused because the NES original controller only has 2 buttons A and B, while all the others have more. But I figured it out now.
        THANK YOU.

        If the mods care to delete this trivial question. It's so obvious.

          @hfgx1 Even the most trivial question may be searched for by others, too, and now they may find this thread for an answer.
