Can no longer save game data, retain Favorites category, or update setup script.
-
Hello- I apologize if these topics have been addressed here, but I a newb to RetroPie and am in need of assistance. I recently performed an overall update to my RetroPie system on my Pi 3 B, and now I can no longer retain the favorites menu or any saved game meta data. I am attaching photos of the “Error parsing XML” notices I get at shut down, as well as the update failed notice I get when trying to update my setup script.
Again, I am new to this and still learning... but any assistance in fixing this is greatly! -
@rontra74 You might be out of disk space on the sd-card. You might need to delete some files or get a bigger SD card. Try running
df -h
and see where you are at. -

Indeed it does. :) One quick way to make some space is to invoke the pre-installed file manager Midnight Commander by entering the command
mc
in the console. It is rather self-explanatory. With it, you could delete some files you don't need to make the system at least usable again.
