Retroarch is now available in a 64bit version. I've installed this on my phone already but I understand that pi3's have a 64bit CPU. Will we eventually be able to run the 64 bit version on our pi 3s?

No, that's not necessary for Linux, it was for Android - Linux already supported this. But Raspbian Linux is not 64 bit so it wouldn't run anyway.

The ability to add rumble support to any game has me very interested. However, it'll take some time for a collection of these to accumulate. I might look into adding support for 'F-Zero' myself. More on this feature below.

Rumble activation based on memory changing. For example, after finding the memory location for the number of lives in a game (via the cheat searching interface) you can set it up such that every time the value decreases (lose a life) the controller rumbles. Rumble tested with X360 controller, input driver dinput, joypad driver xinput. Available rumble controls:
          Rumble when memory value changes
Rumble when memory value does not change
          Rumble when memory value decreases
          Rumble when memory value increases
Rumble when memory value = value
Rumble when memory value != value
Rumble when memory value < value Rumble when memory value > value

          Excerpt taken from: https://www.libretro.com/index.php/upcoming-retroarch-1-7-4-cheat-code-searchingcreation-interface-with-rumble-features/

It's the same thing as what the emulators on Xbox allowed. Basically like inputting a game genie code that triggers a pattern of vibration depending on the memory values you are watching.

Exactly, and the feature itself is nice enough, but I'm more excited about about its implementation in RetroArch. The ability to crowd source new rumble codes through submissions and ultimately download a full collection of these, or just access them on a game-by-game basis, all from within the RetroArch GUI is, in my opinion, the best part of this. That level of accessibility is the next best thing to having native haptic feedback built in to the games themselves.

I keep checking RP GitHub to see if it's available to update, but nothing yet.

Since it's been a while since 1.7.4 release, is it upgradeable yet to raspberry pie, if I missed something?

@mat no, it's not yet supported in retropie. we have to carefully test it.

                        @mitu Thanks for the link.

When I read the update to it, I too thought it seemed like it would be overly complicated compared to before.

I'm surprised 1.7.5 was now released.

Hi everyone, I'm trying to update from retroarch 1.7.1 to something more recent that has runahead. I've been searching high and low, this is the closest topic I could find.

                          Any direction is appreciated.

                          Im running Retropie 4.4.3.
