When I paired my Dualshock 4-Controller through Bluetooth to my Raspberry Pi 3, it connects successfully. But when I quit the Bluetooth-Settings, I get the message:

NOTICE: The ps3 controller driver was temporarily interrupted in order to allow compatibility with standard Bluetooth Peripherals. Please re-pair your Dual Shock Controller to continue (or disregard this message if currently using another controller)

Please how do I fix this from happening?

That's not an error, it's just a notice. It even says disregard this message if currently using another controller. Did you install the ps3 driver through the RetroPie-Setup script before you paired your DS4 ?

        Thank you for the reply!

I tagged it as an issue and not an error for this reason it’s not an error but still causing me issue lol.

Yes I did install the ps3controller drivers. The only other ‘controller’ connected is my usb keyboard and only just to navigate. The issue is I can go in and re-pair it but I can never leave the menu without this Notice. It also doesn’t connect from the retropie menu when I have the ‘force bluetooth connection’ option on, or when I chose “pair at boot” it will pair for a second at boot then immediately disconnect. So frustrating as I do not know what bluetooth peripherals it is referring to, and why it is apparently doing it for my benefit.

@machugina Uninstall the PS3 drivers, they're not useful if you have a DS4. A Dualshock 4 will work without any additional drivers installed, just by normally pairing via Bluetooth - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/PS4-Controller/#pairing-mode.

What version of RetroPie are you using ? Please add the info about your system as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

Just deleting the ps3 drivers was enough to stop the notice and let me exit the menu without disconnecting the dualshock4. Thanks so much!
