    My specs:

I'm running on the latest RetroPie version, with the SCPH1001.BIN BIOS and updated pscx-rearmed and ls-pscx-rearmed BIOS's from the packages.

When I load up a PSX game, such as Driver 2, it goes to the loading screen and says 'Now loading' and never stops. Alternatively, it is just a constant black screen. This isn't specific to Driver 2 - just an example.

    Any help would be massive.

I've tried finding the cheevos achievement system in retroarch.cfg but in this version of RetroPie the path /opt/retropie/emulators/config/psx/retroarch.cfg isn't found. It isn't found in retroarch.cfg either.

My PSX roms are .bin and .cue, no .zip files and no .PBP or .bin.ecm files. It should all be running!

    Thanks :)

RetroAchievements settings can be entered through the RGUI while in-game. The retroarch.cfg file does contain any possible setting, so even if you look into it, those settings are not there unless specifically set by you.

Going back to your first problem - please add the information requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

@nicky_s14 Yes, mostly that. Please remove the log text and upload it entirely on pastebin.com, then provide a reference. You might want to also enable verbose mode in the Runcommand launch menu to get a more detailed log.

Just updated it, the reference is https://pastebin.com/738iSXz0.

I think I've fixed it, but I'm not sure. There could be loads more lurking. A game that I was having issues with was Dune 2000. I'd run it, everything goes fine and the .bin file is recognised. At first, it was just loading. I removed and re-installed the rom and it seems to be fine?

To remove the cheevos command, do I go to the RGUI menu? What folder is it in exactly if you may know?

One of the causes for this problem is a bad rom, so try to re-transfer them to the Pie.

About your cheevos question - I don't understand what you're trying to do: erase them or add them to RA ?

I read around that there was an achievement system that caused the emulator to do extra work that wasn't needed, making the loading time longer. This was caused by cheevos_enabled="true" and I had to make it cheevos_enabled="false". Just wondering where...

To be honest, I think I can just pass that. I think the bad roms are the cause.

However, I saw in the runcommand that it said warning: RAM is not directly mapped, performance will suffer

Any ideas on its magnitude of effect and any ways to solve it? If it even is a problem anyway...

                Thanks

                  I don't think that's a concern.

Okay. That seems great. Thank you extremely for your help - helped me 110%. The roms are the issue here, not the BIOS or anything else. Was actually quite surprising.
