[FBA] Show only one monitor in dual monitor games
-
Hi,
I would like to play the Gaelco game World Rally 2. Unfortunately, Final Burn shows both monitors side by side with a smaller size to fit on the computer screem, as the game had a dual screen setup. Is there a way to config this core in Retroarch so it only shows one of them and that it fills my whole display? -
@svera
You might be able to switch to one monitor by changing a dipswitch setting. See dipswitch settings chart on page 3 of the World Rally 2 operating manual.Tutorial on dipswitch settings in FBA is in the wiki.
DISCLAIMER: I haven't tested this myself, but it's worth a shot.

@SloTayHolmes, did it as you mention and effectively it turns off the second monitor, but still shows both, doesn't remove the inactive monitor and puts the active one full screen.
-
@svera your core is probably outdated, wrally2 should be able to display only one screen since fba .43 (never tried it myself, but i remember seeing the changes in the code).
-
@barbudreadmon I'm using .43, I think it's the version that supports this game according to the changelog: https://www.fbalpha.com/view/240/
Maybe I'm missing something else? -
Nevermind, @SloTayHolmes was right, somehow I had to reload the game for changes to take effect, now it's working. Thanks!
I would like the same for Lode Runner Dig Fight, is it possible? -
@svera
You can find operator manuals at ArcadeItalia and Games DB. Both sites have searchable archives. You can download the manual for Lode Runner Dig Fight here. -
Finally I found a solution for Lode Runner The Dig Fight, MAME 2003 plus shows only one monitor by default.
-
@svera so does AdvanceMame 😉

I opened a thread for a similar problem, i was trying to play on a pc with windows 7 a world rally 2 from gaelco, i'm using mameui64 but i have the problem of double screen too. Do you have any advice on how to do it? Do I have to use mame or another emulator on the pc?
-
@giovanni11 Please don't bump older topics, you already have a separate topic opened for your question. Use the latest MAME and see if that solves your issue.
