      I've been trying to take some screen pics for games I don't have nice boxart for, using the Quick Menu in Retroarch. It says it's taking a screenshot, then after a second or two says it's finished.

      My question is: where's it hiding them? I can't find the pesky things anywhere.

      I've made a folder and put this line in the main RETROARCH.CFG:

      screenshot_directory = /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/screenshots

      But it sure as heck isn't putting anything in there, so where have they gone?

          @mitu Cheers! All I'd found was this, which wasn't helpful at all:

              For anyone looking to add screenshots outside of RetroArch, here's a list of some other locations that they can hide.

              /home/pi/ (CoolCV, Hatari, jzintv, Stella, VICE)
              /home/pi/.openMSX/screenshots/ (OpenMSX)
              /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/apple2/ (Linapple)
              /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-advmame/snap/ (AdvanceMAME)
              /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-advmame/advmess/snap/ (AdvanceMESS)
              /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/ports/quake3/full/baseq3/screenshots/ (ioQuake3)
              /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/scummvm/ (ScummVM)
              /opt/retropie/configs/pc/capture/ (DOSBox)
              /opt/retropie/configs/ports/doom/screenshots/ (ZDoom)
              /opt/retropie/configs/ports/duke3d/ (EDuke32)

                @spudsmctoole make sure that folder has all the correct permissions. I put my screenshot folder in /home/pi/ and it works best there. Had issues in another location I tried.
