Pi Model or other hardware: B
      Power Supply: Enokay 5V 2.5A
      RetroPie Version: 4.4
Built From: on top of existing OS
USB Devices connected: XArcade Tankstick, Keyboard
      Guide used: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Spinners,-Trackballs,-Lightguns,-and-other-Mouse-Devices
      Emulator: lr-fbalpha (FB Alpha v0.2.97.43 5e771b0)
      Retroarch Version: 1.7.3

      Problem
I was able to setup my Trackball on my X-Arcade Tankstick to work with the roms for my AdvMAME emulator using the guide. However, I cannot figure out how to setup the trackball to work with FB Alpha in Retroarch. I've tried changing the index as suggested, but indexes 0-9 did nothing.

Is there another area, for example, under RGui --> Quick Menu --> Controls --> a way to set "Up" "Down" "Left" "Right" for the trackball?

Looking forward to a solution, thanks!

I'm still at a dead end.
I guess a better question, does anyone have a trackball that works with Retroarch / FB Alpha roms?

@wiggy808 except if there is a way to make your trackball act as a joystick axis, use another emulator, fba only supports joysticks.

Ahhh....well thanks for the relief, was beginning to wonder if I was inventing the wheel, haha.
Yeah, so got the AdvMame versions and removed the fbalpha versions, trackball all good!

I would assume that fbalpha also has an issue with other non joystick inputs such as aimtrack light guns, spinners, etc.?

Yes, i never looked into adding them. As far as i remember, you are the first to ask about it since i started the project (4 years ago ?), probably because fba is mostly popular for shmup and vs-fighting. I can't really say i have free time atm, but if you open an issue on github, i'll try to take a look when i find some time.

Well then the community owes you a big thanks for your time and effort buddy!

I appreciate the offer, but I don't wanna put anymore on your plate, plus I have an alternate solution, and lastly, I don't have a github account anyway haha. If you think its still worth to track and eventually fix though, I'll create a github account and add the issue in there.
