Please add the information from https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first - which release/RA version are you using ?

@thepianist80 try playing an msx 1 game. Then change the bios back.
-
@edmaul69 i can't change it , because retroarch menu will not work if the game not working (it gives black screen and return to main menu )

@thepianist80 most bios’ you set should work and boot the game if it is an msx 1 rom and not msx 2 or msx2+ roms. Otherwise open up the file /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-core-options.cfg and fix the bios section for the msx emulator you are using.

@edmaul69 sorry i don't know how to do it , can you tell me the steps please , and thank you very much

@edmaul69 can you please tell me how i open that file , if you tell me the steps i will be very thankful for you

@thepianist80 go to commandline and type:
sudo nano /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-core-options.cfg
look for the line:
bluemsx_msxtype =
and change whatever it is set as to:
bluemsx_msxtype = "MSX2+"
caps are important.
