Cardboard Mini NES + Nes mini and Famicom mini themes
-
Sounds great! I always used this one as opposed to the SNES mini one for whatever reason. Using it on my PC now and it works great.

@livefastcyyoung
Thanks for the reply. Hopefully once ported the snes-mini theme should be able to replicate this theme fairly accurately with only minor changes - though at the moment it's proving more of a headache than I originally anticipated.... -

ust tidied a few things up with the theme and will upload it somewhere so anyone who would like it can get it. I'll post again once it's ready.
@ruckage can this theme be installed on EmulationStation Windows?
Because if so....i've tried it and it only shows white background with black text...
i've already fused my brain tooooo much and out of resources so please help me out.

Yes, I've installed successfully - but you'll need the RetroPie version of Emulationstation, not the - no longer developed - version from Aloshi.
-
@mitu is correct, in fact I develop the themes entirely on the windows version that @jdrassa kindly provides. You can find the version of ES for windows that you need here: https://github.com/jrassa/EmulationStation/releases/tag/continuous-master

Hi everyone. I've updated the snes-mini theme so that it now incorporates everything from the nes-mini theme. See this post for more info: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/12583/snes-mini-theme/708

@ruckage Hello, this image Is it compatible with Raspberry Pi 3 B +?
-
Hey guys, I was able to install the theme successfully and everything seems fine. The box art for all my games is missing as well as the information on the box that is on the right side. Where do you get the artwork and everything else? thanks!
-
@zulraptor You need to use a scraper to get the box art - Scraper docs - that is not part of the theme.
-
@mitu This scraper is for videos of the game or is for the image of the game?
-
@san7yz Which scraper are you referring to ?
-
@mitu Well, I prefer the image of the box

Hi @ruckage ,
One suggestion:
Edit the font for use not-usefull characters for the following icons (in line with the change "#" for folder icon):
- Some not-useful character for "WRONG" icon (something like a "X" or "!" in a triangle warning icon). This could be useful for marking not-working games.
- Some not-useful character for "MEDAL" icon (or something similar). This could be useful for marking beaten games.
I hope you can considere this.
Thank you very much for such wonderful theme!
-
@ruckage Do you accept donations? I would very much like support for PC Engine CD and Super Grafx. I realize these can fall under the PC Engine section, but I think of them as different consoles, much like Sega CD and 32X. I would be more than happy to reimburse you for your effort.
The work you have done on these themes is incredible. Thank you very much!

@loopyeddie PC engine CD is already supported.

This would be possible but not sure how useful it would be or what characters could be used. It would have to be a character that isn't usually used in rom titles but also one that can be typed easily on a standard keyboard and that doesn't give many options. Also other than yourself is there a demand for it?

Hi. As @quicksilver said PC Engine CD support is already included. SuperGrafx is on my to do list as well so will be added eventually.
If you'd like to support my work though donations are always greatly appreciated and there is a donation link in my signature. -
Nice to see you around these parts @ruckage. Hope all is well!
-
Hi @ruckage !
Thanks for your answer.
I only plant the seed, and if other people think like me, maybe you can consider for future updates.
Anyway, I am going to put this idea to emulationstation developers. Maybe they can add something similar to the frontend itself.
Regards!

@Loquo That repository hasn't had a commit in nearly a year. I don't think it's still being maintained, although I could be wrong.
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
