      The keyboard is working fine. Only the mouse fails.

          test your mouse in mame2003 with outrun believe it or not.

          left click will accelerate
          moving the mouse will turn the car

              @grant2258 after the feedback it looks like indeed it is an RA issue then.

              Great that you will scalate it to the RA guys. As a hint, my best guess of where the problem might be is in this post: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/20004/mouse-as-a-zapper-lr-fceumm-rpi-3-b/29
              I don't have time nowadays to debug it myself unfortunately :( Thanks!

                Hi,

                The outrun version that I have only runs on FBalpha.

                Thanks a lot for your help :) I think this is a RA issue since it works fine in a 1.6.x version.

                  Maybe it's this issue in the RetroArch's issue tracker ?

                        well its one line change and is identical to the touchpad condition not sure what the issue is there with merging it i mean.

                              @grant2258 sounds good! it can be a while before RA releases a new stable version, so when your PR gets approved and merged, maybe we can quickly backport your patch to RetroPie's RA. What do you think @BuZz ?

                                @hhromic I'd prefer to wait for now.

                                  ra updates on a daily bases just a matter of when of if they pull the request :). I glad i came across this thread or i would have been oblivious to it not working

                                    @BuZz sure no prob.

                                    @grant2258 I know RA is updated constantly, but RetroPie builds from stable branches, not master, hence end-users won't see these changes until RA releases the next stable version. I hope your patch makes the cut for RA 1.7.6 :)

                                        @grant2258 If I understand correctly, the problem appears when you have a mouse/keyboard combo attached ?
                                        I know I tested the mouse support in the topic @hhromic mentioned a few posts before (using the Nestopia core) and it was fine, but I had a standalone mouse connected and a gamepad.

                                          The problems was if the mouse didn't report in absolute coords it would close the mouse device. I can provide a pi3b+ bin for you too test if you like.
