            Hello,
Trying to get CD soundtrack working with mame2003-plus.
            For example in 'outrun'.
I've got the correct rom version in the rom folder.
I put the file outrun.zip containing all the tracks in wav format in /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/mame2003-plus/samples

But when I launch the game, I've got the warning :
[libretro WARN] [MAME 2003+] Warning: audio sample(s) not found.

            Any idea ?
            thanks.

@cacrlhungus74 Works fine for me, though I suppose I haven't updated in the past few days. I'll update my RetroPie install to make sure the problem isn't from a recent update to anything.

Example of Functional outrun.zip Sample in /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/mame2003-plus/samples.
              outrun.PNG

Also, wow. I can't believe I overlooked this game. Guess it got overlooked because of its input method, but it works fine with a d-pad.

Edit: Yeah, the problem is with the emulator. You'll have to wait until it is fixed.

@markwkidd Hey, something is wrong with the paths for lr-mame2003-plus.

I just updated to help @cacrlhungus74 with his problem and found the Samples to no longer work.

Now there is a /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/mame2003-plus/artwork path on my Pi.

Edit: My bad. I just saw the message and didn't even wait to hear the Samples.

indeed there is a small bug in the recent update to the scriptmodule for the artwork directory setup. I fixed it now in this PR: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/pull/2564

Edit: PR merged now, artwork should be installed correctly now.

@cacrlhungus74 dont worrt about this error for ost samples.

Its because we added flac supposrt and dynamic loading for systems with too little memory and the ost samples are prettybig im sure mark will fix this up was just an oversight feel free to ignore that error on ost custom soundtrack if you have the samples.

Thanks all for the replies. Looks like I pick the wrong timing to check this feature :)
Will check later . Thanks again.

@cacrlhungus74 no problem. Unfortunately you will have to manually clean the artwork directories created by accident in your rom directories :(

It crashes. It looks like it doesn't like the position in invaders.art. I replaced only the position coords with the original coords and then the game launches but of course the old coords squish the x axis heavily. I can't quite tell if the y axis is stretched due to the severe squish on x.

Thanks for trying it. I thought I applied the coord calc as shown in the .art file format explanation. It probably makes sense to test the backdrop of some other game that doesn't rotate the screen as SI does. Once I find out how the coord system works on a "simpler" rom I'll come back to SI. This weekend I will have time to play around on my Pi on this and let you know.

@UDb23 - Yeah that makes sense and I appreciate all you've put into it. I did spend an hour or so going through the Github instructions, then finally drew a pic on paper like their instructions but my numbers ended being out of bounds or something too and crashed. I was using the original 2021 x 1080 image as though it was rotated and then crunched the numbers. You would think you could input the 8 numbers and it would calculate it out but that might be to handy. :)

Also I saw in Missile Command you setup your viewport right in the zip.cfg vs a core file. I resized it messing around to verify it does work with settings in that file. That's good to know as I can get rid of the core config file now.

BTW checking "old artwork" backdrops on mr do's site also Missile Command is listed.
The backdrop is basically only the texts for players score and name of the bases. The reason why it is considered a backdrop is because there was a brown glass (below the bezel) on top of the glass (or plexi) with the texts. Interesting finding; will include these in my MC overlay soon. No need to use the backdrop function in this case.

Already created an excel sheet yesterday that calculates it ;-)

Care to share it? (Although I don't use Excel, I hope that LibreOffice can import it.)

@UDb23 - Nice, I look forward to the MC update. I installed it and was playing last night. I always liked what you did with the Depth Charge overlay too to create color. The calc spreadsheet might be handy once you get all setup and the bugs ironed out. It's quite involved doing all the steps for one backdrop.

@UDb23 I want to help out a little here so i been doing some testing. What you have to do is create an image at a 3:4 aspect ratio (what the game is running at). So lets assume we can agree on 1080 x 1440

                                            create a new image
                                            horizontal: 1080
                                            vertical : 1440

draw your art rotate it right degrees and save it 90 load it up with stiv art file from mr do and it will appear the same on screen the way the image was done.

https://github.com/libretro/mame2003-plus-libretro/issues/551 for the picture i saved want what displayed.

ps i just stretched the other image to these dimensions that why i looks like that
