picodrive Overlay Not Going Fullscreen
-
So, I've installed Orionsangel's overlays for my cores, and they all work great- except picodrive. On all my Sega systems, the black bars remain on the side. The overlay is the same width, it just now overlaps the game - as if the screen began where the borders ended. I'm sure I'm missing something pretty basic, but I can't figure it out - especially since my cfgs all play well with the other cores.
I've tried fiddling with some of the video settings w/in Retroarch in game, and I've had no luck. I can't get the overlays on top of the borders. I installed from source. Same issue. Maybe uninstall/install? I don't want to break too much stuff in my Retroarch.
I searched everywhere, and no one has had similar core-specific problems. I want to keep my hair. Help.

@mbrett said in picodrive Overlay Not Going Fullscreen:
You might want to ask the author of the overlays about this problem. You didn't specify a source for them, so we can't check what could be the problem.

@mitu It's not the overlays. I made a Pi image for my brother-in-law just the other day, and the overlays all look perfect in his clean install. It has to be something in my Retroarch settings, but I don't know what it could possibly be.

@mbrett As I said, without knowing the source of the overlays and how are they installed, we can't guess how can this be solved. How did you install the overlays, what settings in RetroArch have you modified ?
-
Cosmo8's work, actually:
https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/16430/overlays-compilation-repository-for-consoles-and-handhelds-1080pThe only thing I modified was through Cosmo8's cfgs. I didn't do anything else. And, again, they work on every other core I have them - except picodrive.

@mbrett Hm, this sounds like a problem caused by the - relatively - recent change in the RetroArch in the custom resolution index. I see it was addressed in https://github.com/cosmo0/retropie-overlays/pull/5 though - so the question is
- when did you install the overlays ? Was is after/before the date of the PR above ?
- what version of RetroArch do you have ?
-
@mitu Yep, I fixed the ratios to '23'. Figgered that out. That wouldn't effect picodrive overlay/shader since there is no view port. It's full screen w/shader and overlay over borders like Atari 2600/NES/SNES/PC Engine/PSX.

@mbrett Do you have a screenshot to show the problem ? Have you tried toggling 'Integer scaling' on/off to see if it makes a difference ?
