I have an issue starting steamlink. I will get the above mentioned Log in runcommand.log.
I made a clean install of the 4.4 image. Updated the updatescript in retropie-setup and installed the steamlink programm from experimental packages.
Yesterday I made the whole update (incl. Kernel etc.). After this ES won't start and hang on a command prompt (login). So I made everything new today.
I have seriously no idea what I did wrong. As my expierence with Linux systems is really bad, maybe you can ELI5 to me?
Thank you all for your great work.

That's a Raspbian update that disables auto-login. Just login with user
pi
and passwordraspberrry
and then you can enable again the auto-login by runningsudo raspi-config
from the terminal - see this page. For the Steamlink package, well, there's a reason it's experimental. You can wait for the script to be updated to include the
xinit
dependency. Take a look at this topic for an interim solution, but if you don't have any experience with Linux, just wait for an updated package by watching the Steamlink topic. -
Thank you mitu. That has worked quite well.
