      @ruckage

Your Christmas sounds like a ton of fun, I envy you.
I on the other hand had to work. Japan doesn't give Christmas the same value as you guys in Europe. But I spend a nice evening with my wife and 4 dogs, watched a comedy movie and had a few beers.
Even though I must admit it is hard to ignore and not touch my new PC or gaming in general even for 1 day. But I got through it. :-P

No worries about the Newgen theme. There is still plenty of time... just do what you gotta do first. I know the Recalbox guys are eagerly waiting for your SNES-mini theme.

Again, thanks a lot for the new theme really appreciate your dedication and work done.

Hello. As @skj said they are already included.
I've never heard of RetroPan OS and I get no results from google. Do you have a link with more info?

                          I think I've found a bug:

If a game entry has no video attached to it (no <video> tag in the gamelist.xml), the skin won't display any other images (eg. boxart), even if they are are linked in the gamelist.xml

This only happens with this theme. All other themes (incl. SNES-Mini) work fine.

                              Hello Everyone.

Question on getting this theme to work.

                              1. I have a Raspberry Pi 3B+, also downloaded the proper Retropie image as of today (Mar 3rd, 2019).
                              2. I installed the emulationstation-dev package.
                              3. I made the themes folder within the configs/all/emulationstation folder. So I have configs/all/emulationstation/themes/pandora
                              4. When I attempt to change themes within ES, I don't see any Pandora themes. I even tried rebooting.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or what step I'm missing. If anyone can help me, I'd appreciate it.

                              Thanks,
                              John

@Draugr You don't need to install the dev package anymore, the latest Emulationstation version (2.8.1) has Grid View support.
Did you copy the files posted by @ruckage in the pandora folder ? What's the content of \\retropie\configs\all\emulationstation\themes\pandora ?

@mitu The files inside the ~/.emulationstation/themes/pandora folder are the following...

                                    art (folder)
                                    config.xml

                                    settings (folder)
                                    colour.xml
                                    main.xml
                                    readme.txt
                                    theme.xml

@Draugr It looks ok - can you offer more details about your system (as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first) and attach a copy of the ES logfile from ~/.emulationstation/es_log.txt ?

@paffley No quite a changelog, but here are some highlights that I've taken from the git commit log:

                                        • Grid View support for themes
                                        • Reworked internal scraper and the addition of another source to it (Screenscraper)
                                        • Reworked some artwork (svg icons) for the input configuration and help system
                                        • More granular Audio settings (supporting more audio settings than the standard HDMI/Analog).
                                        • A few additions to theming (DateTime component changed, variable support in import statements).
                                        • Ability to search for local art and show it (disabled by default since it has a performance impact), looking after <rom-name>-image and <rom_name>-video files to show them instead of relying on the gamelist data.
                                        • Ability to add a sortname entry to a ROM entry in the entry to control the sorting in the gamelist (instead of relying only on the name tag).
                                        • A lot of small fixes (2G+ files support on Windows, UI modes showing unwanted roms, etc.)
                                        • Loading screen added progress messages during start-up.
                                        • Under-the-hood - the most notable change is removing the dependency to boost, this greatly improved the compilation and shortened the volume of dependencies to a great extent.

That's so useful! I like to try to keep games in a series grouped together in their respective systems and it can lead to really awkward names. I'll have to play around with that.
