WWF In Your House crashes lr-pcsx-rearmed after selecting fighter

We need more information from you about your setup. The required information is detailed at https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. Also, you might as well go ahead and launch the game with verbose logging enabled from the Runcommand menu and post the resulting contents of
/dev/shm/runcommand.log
to pastebin.com. -

Thanks for replying. So here are the details:
- Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, 64 Gb SanDisk microSD
- Power supply goes together with "starter pack". Don't remember the specs, but it is written there that it is 100% compatible with Pi3B
- RetroPie 4.4.3
- Installed manually on the top of existing Raspbian OS, followed all the instructions from official page
- USB Devices connected: Rapoo 8000 (wireless keyboard + mouse), Belkin 7-Port Active USB Hub, 2x Logitech F310 controllers (connected through USB hub)
- 2x Logitech F310 controllers
- Emulator: lr-pcsx-rearmed
- Image of "WWF In Your House" was take from 3 different sources. Result is always the same, emulator crashes after selecting a character and before loading the fighting arena itself.
- /dev/shm/runcommand.log is here: https://pastebin.com/hHQVtTHP
- There are about 60 different PS1 games in the roms folder. All of them run without issues besides this one.
But there is apparently not enough information in the log. If I build the emulator with "make DEBUG=1", will the output/crash callstack go to the same log file or do I need to grab it from any other place?
-
@megaJekan looks like a bad rom/game dump. Can you try witha different rom ?
-
@mitu OK, I will check European version. Maybe it will work. But I have already tried 3 different images of the game, all of them caused crash.
-
@megaJekan Hm, in this case there might be a different problem.
-
So, in the interest of science, I tested it also and got the same crash. The problem seems to be in the emulator, not in any configuration you have. If I disable the Dynamic Recompiler from the core options, the game progresses past the selection screen and the match starts, but as soon as I enable it back, it crashes. Unfortunately, as expected, disabling the
dynarec
option makes the game unplayably slow on the Pi. -
@mitu thanks for checking. European version crashes as well, by the way. Does it make sense for me to try debugging the source code?

Hi there ! glad to have found this page because I faced the same problem recently. Tried many different rom versions, but yeah, each time I try to select a character and start a match, it crashes during the loading screen.
Quite the same config btw, Raspberry Pi 3B+, 32 gb SanDisk Micro SD. Emulator, lr-pscx-rearmed.If you or anyone else can help, it would be greatly appreciated :)
WWF In Your House, alongside with WWF Wrestlemania were my 2 favorites wrestling games back then. -
not sure, but maybe this game is not compatible with pcsx_Rearmed just like few other games.

WWF In Your House, alongside with WWF Wrestlemania were my 2 favorites wrestling games back then.I will take a look where it crashes as soon as I have time. Yup, these 2 wrestling games are amazing. It was a disaster to have WWFIYH not running, because I planned a 4-players battle (which is not that often supported by a PS1 fighting game).

@megaJekan
I try this one also with all roms i could have found online nothing works after picking a fighter...
Also
WORMS PINBALL
never worked for me too... -
Something new ?
did anyone got one of the games working ? -
Tried again with a fresh image last night and it still crashes annoyingly.
It's the one WWF game that does not work :(
-
@ScrumpyDaniel
Shame :\ -
MTV CELEBRITY DEATHMATCH
also quit after loading the title screen for me... tried many roms and img's... all the same for me . -
I know this isn't helpful, but it works with ePSXe on windows...
-
@stoney66
