      Pi Model: 3 Model B+
      RetroPie Version Used: 4.9.80-v7
      Built From: SD Image
USB Devices connected: Standard USB keyboard, Logitech USB Gamepad
      Controller used: Logitech USB Gamepad
Error messages received: Black screen, /dev/shm/runcommand.log shows:
Parameters: Executing: /opt/retropie/emulators/daphne/daphne.sh "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/daphne/lair.daphne" /opt/retropie/emulators/daphne/daphne.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libGLEW.so.1.10: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
      Guide used: https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Daphne
      File: n/a
      Emulator: Daphne
      Attachment of config files: n/a
      How to replicate the problem:

Followed the guide, setup everything as instructed for Dragon's Lair. No issues until its time to initially launch the game and parse the files. Simply blackscreens and goes back to rom list in ES.
Files are all owned by pi user and pi group.

Wasn't able to get /dev/shm/runcommand.log to generate a new entry after retrying, but the error was the only log entry and within seconds of when I tried to launch the game so I'm assuming that error is pertinent.

I did a search, the file does not exist on the system:

root@retropie:/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/daphne/roms# find / -print | grep lib | grep GLEW
      /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libGLEW.so.2.0.0
      /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libGLEW.so
      /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libGLEW.so.2.0

Shared object files missing usually indicates to me that the emulator didn't install correctly or I need another package installed.

Short of that, not sure what to do, so any thoughts are welcome!

It looks like your daphne package is out of date.
What image have you used to install RetroPie ? Are you using the RetroPie image from retropie.org.uk/download ?

@mitu Hey mitu, long time no see. I think you're right, I was looking at the emulator version trying to determine if it was the latest or not.

Not sure how to check the version, but here is the MD5 sum and date of the file.

          pi@retropie:~/RetroPie/roms/daphne/lair.daphne $ ls -larth /opt/retropie/emulators/daphne/daphne.bin
          -rwxr-xr-x 1 pi pi 1.1M Mar 21 2018 /opt/retropie/emulators/daphne/daphne.bin
          pi@retropie:~/RetroPie/roms/daphne/lair.daphne $ md5sum /opt/retropie/emulators/daphne/daphne.bin90e6eb4adaf7ad9565971339eaf09151 /opt/retropie/emulators/daphne/daphne.bin

I used that image as my base, but have installed my working versions of daphne emulator. I'm going to use this:

              https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/updating-retropie

to guide me and I'll update the daphne emulator. That sound good?

@mitu Updated from binary now it runs! I guess not all daphne emulators are the same. Thanks mitu, much appreciated.
