Fake RetroPIE Oficial facebook group

Like the title says, recently some guys created a facebook group called RetroPie Oficial. Even the logo/backgroud is a copy from RetroPie. The first thing suspicious in the group was it's description "Welcome to the Official RetroPie Group. We allow discussion of roms and pre-made images."

Please go and report the group for abuse to help in closing it.

@Rascas everyone can report til they are blue in the face. Facebook won't do anything unless we have lawyers threaten to sue and even then... Facebook is a cancer.

I don't have a FB account, so I can't see any conversations there. But I wouldn't be surprised if they'd have some knowledgeable folks there - just to make sure you get the right ROMs and the best 'all filler, no thriller' images.

I do have an account and can't see the conversations either, you have to join the group to see xD
I did my part and reported them as spam/illegal anyway.

@hhromic Nothing will change, maybe you can declare that eating mushrooms and jumping on heads is an act of terrorism. And collecting coins from hidden places is modern piracy

Nowadays I only have Facebook because of work. No Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and that kind of social media. Like it or not, Facebook is still the biggest social network by a long margin, and one of the easiest ways to reach people. Unfortunely, almost everybody has a facebook account.

This thing is really really bad for RetroPie, if there is shit going on, because people think its an official page from us/you. Do they link to this page?

@Rascas Last year I even removed WhatsApp from my "phone". This had a big impact and most people are looking at me as if I was trolling. And this fact is the most sad aspect of it.

Mobile phones... pfft. If I can't communicate with someone using my Sports Illustrated shoe phone, they're not worth talking to.

Ha! That's it alright. It's funny, actually seeing a picture brings back memories of working up my nerve to call a few crushes back in my middle school days. Of course no girl can resist the undeniable allure of a guy with footwear for a phone, so I don't know what I was ever worried about.

I did indeed. I remember the mechanism to hang it up when placed flat on a table was located near where your chin would be, so you had to be pretty careful to not accidentally brush it and end the call... That and the intense smell of feet.
