I love these overlays! I installed a few of them (the 194x-ones) and got them up and running, but now i can't start the rpie-art.sh script any longer :(

Is there problems with the script or have something gone wrong with my permissions? I haven't done anything in particular that should mess this up. Just suddenly it didn't work anymore.

Also, i can't use the bash command anylonger unless i enter the path for it (see screenshot).

I can start the script if i don't go to superuser but nothing works in it. Tried reinstalling the script but problem persist.

@redfarmer you are running the script as 'root' instead of the iser 'pi'.

You need support from our script Master (and author): @meleu can you help ?

(summing up: do NOT use rpie-art with the root account)

Oh man! I overcomplicated things by changing to the root user. Now it works like a treat :D At one point there was some problems even with user pi, but it was probably something i did. Working fine now :) Thanks alot from someone still learning!

It appears as though my resolution is set to 1024 x 720 ... I'm using a regular widescreen computer monitor. Will these require me to change settings that may screw up how my menus/games are displayed?

I guess you're better off with the widescreen overlays. These are specifically made for non widescreen.

@AndrewH How do I get the config file location, when I am installing the files and the overlays. changed to

input_overlay = "/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/overlay/arcade-bezels/galaga-AH.cfg" <----This a correct statement
input_overlay_enable = "true"
input_overlay_opacity = "1.000000"
input_overlay_scale = "1.000000"

This initially is being pointed at input_overlay = "/opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/overlays/arcade-bezels/galaga-Ah.cfg" (belive this is where it was pointed) this does not work with retropi 4.X . This is for all the config files I have installed. DK - Frogger galaxian.

Also how do I get the rom to fit in the 1280x1024 5:4 overlay . The rom output is slightly larger then the overlay. I redid a couple of them to fit.

Otherwise thanks for putting this toghther you saved me a lot of trouble .
