      hello,

I'm new retropie and been pulling hair and nerves trying to get psx to work.

i have raspberry pi 3 b+ with 4.4 latest version of retropie. i have the off and on power cord. formatted retropie on 32gb sandisk sdcard using etcher. i have innext 8bit controller, wireless mini keyboard and a ps4 controlller

i have 2 of the bios file such as SCPH1001.bin and scph1001.bin and i have both the cue and bin files for the roms.
i use one bios at at time when putting both roms in the roms folder. and i have been rebooting each time i swap out the bios. the screen would act like its going to play but nothing happens it just sends me back to the game menu :( im all out of options and i dont know what to do at this point. i will appreciate if anyone can give me detailed help on this. thanks for all the help

@blujumanji What emulator are you using ?
Looks like a bad ROM or a bad .cue file. Can you get a verbose log from running the game - use the Runcommand launch menu to launch with verbose logging, then get the log file (/dev/shm/runcommand.log) and upload it to pastebin.com, to take a look.

@blujumanji when I recently loaded a new retropie image I was really confused because I had the same bios files on my older image and suddenly with the new image the PSX ROMS wouldn’t load. Oddly once I updated the lr-pscx-rearmed emulator from binary it suddenly worked with no other changes. I had thought that wouldn’t be necessary to update because I had just downloaded the “brand new” retropie 4.4 image and the PSX emulator is part of the image so I figured it would be “up to date.” But apparently that is not the case. So maybe try putting both bios folders in again and updating the emulator (go to retropie setup, manage packages, I think lr- psx rearmed is under either main or optional, and then update, update from binary) and see if that works.
