      I did an update. At one point it asked if I wanted to update kernel and I said sure why not. Now on reboot it just hangs with
      Raspbian GNU/Linux 9 plus1 tty1
      plus1 login:

      plus1 is my host name.

      Did I do something bad?

      I do have a backup so not to worried.

      update: I hooked up a keyboard and it loads ES fine if I login. How do I get auto login to work again?

        Found my answer elsewhere in the forum.
        In retropie setup we have to run es auto logon back on.

        Also had to do this
        sudo nano /boot/config.txt
        uncomment (i.e. delete the # preceding the line)

        #disable_overscan=1
        to

        disable_overscan=1

          Why you had to do that? That disables the overscan settings, should have nothing to do with auto-login. Can you elaborate more so we don't mis-direct users? Thanks.
