I'm a linux noob. so yeah all the help would be great, also how do I get a turbografix cd game to work.. trying to get cosmic fantasy 2 to run. game from my youth :)(
raspberry pi 3+
retropie 3.8.1 I think, from binary on a raspbian base, dont remember the version.
usb devices, keyboard, trackball and a xbox one controller sometimes when I try and get it working. -
@firehopper for the turbo cd to work you need the syscard3.pce and you need to place it in /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/ folder
-
I do have it, just not in the right place :) thanks!, anyone able to help with the xbox one issue?
-
nope still wont run. I'm not doing something right, its dim red in the list, then try and run it and it comes back red..
I have the syscard3.pce in the bios dir. and the game like this
roms
pcengine
cosmicfantasy II
all isos and waves and cue file here.help!
-
@firehopper is it zipped or unzipped? Needs to be unzipped if it isnt. Open up your cue file and make sure the iso or bin file is named the exact same as the bin/iso you are trying to load.

@edmaul69 said in hey all, new user here. 2 questions:
@firehopper is it zipped or unzipped? Needs to be unzipped if it isnt. Open up your cue file and make sure the iso or bin file is named the exact same as the bin/iso you are trying to load.
its unzipped, so I need to put a copy of the bios in the same dir as all the files? and theres lots of iso files. and wav files
and the cue files are named the same as in the cue file, Trackxx.wav Trackxx.iso
the directory is named Cosmic Fantasy II (U) and the cue is Cosmic Fantasy II (U).cue
should I rename that? -
if it will help I am willing to start from a fresh retropie image if it helps.
-
tried renaming the cosmic fantasy folder and cue file, didnt help, will try putting a copy of the bios in the same directory if not maybe converting the iso into a bin file might help if I could figure out how
-
nope putting the syscard3.pce in the directory as the cd images didnt help. havent found a program to convert a iso/wav/cue to a bin/cue yet, and as for the xbox controller issue, the pi recognises it, but a joystick test program doesnt read any inputs from it, its one of the newer xbox one controllers 16 something.
