    Hey Guys,

Successfully moved over Dragon's Lair but the file structure for Dragon's Lair 2 is much different. I used the DaphneLoader to extract the files off of the Dragon's Lair dvd rom and using ETA Primes video as a reference, moved over the 3 main files created.

    Lair movie clip file (872kb)
    lair.ogg
    lair text file

These 3 files plus the game rom had it up and running.

Now when it comes to Dragon's Lair 2 I am finding that these 3 files corresponding to this game don't exist. There are tons of movie clips files etc. Just a lot more files created and I can't figure out what needs to goto the retropie for this game to work.

Dragon's Lair had one movie file, one sound file and one text file.

Dragon's Lair 2 has tons of movie clip files, a text file not named lair2 but rather dl2, and tons of sound files.

Has anyone used DaphneLoader to move Dragons's Lair 2 over to their arcade cabinet?

    Thanks...

    Chris

@ChristianG Yes. It works. The video asset(s) don't really matter as long as the .txt file properly lists the frame numbers and the corresponding files. The way I understand it, the emulator uses the .txt file to find the right video file to start playing at a particular frame number. So long as each file is listed and a corresponding start frame number and the aggregate video files are comprehensive the game will work fine.

Just make sure the folder, the name of the rom in the roms folder under daphne, and the .txt file all have the same names. The rom could be lair2.zip, the folder lair2.daphne, and the txt file lair2.txt. Then, inside lair2.txt are references to all of your long list of video files.

One thing that I ran into when building an HD set for one of these was that my video files were named in all caps, and this differed from how they were referenced in the .txt file. These have to match exactly--the video files and their references in the txt file.

@ChristianG mine is named lair2 like @caver01 posted. Are you sure it's dl2 and not dle21? There are a few versions of dragons lair 1 my setup has 3. dle11, dle21 and lair.
