I'm new to this, so please forgive if I have some stupid questions. Using the instructions at https://howchoo.com/g/n2qyzdk5zdm/build-your-own-raspberry-pi-retro-gaming-rig - all went well and I've been playing Atari 2600 and Nintendo games just fine. I've been using the method of placing ROM files on a USB thumb drive - then when I plug the thumb drive into the Rasberry Pi the files automatically get copied over - all works fine.
Now I'd like to use the TRS-80 emulator, but I'm having troubles. I went to https://retropie.org.uk/docs/TRS-80/ and from there it appeared that I needed to find level2.rom BIOS and place it in the BIOS directory on my thumb drive. I found a level2.rom file on the web (but I have no way of knowing if it's good), placed it in that directory, put some .dsk files in the trs-80 rom directory and hooked it to the USB port - then I rebooted the Rasberry Pi. When I check the directories the files are now in the right spots on the Rasberry Pi SD card, but nothing is happening - no TRS-80 is showing up. So, here I am!
Can anyone offer any help or instructions for getting to the TRS-80 mode?
    Thanks!
    Jon

Did you install the sdltrs emulator ? It's not installed by default, should be installable from the experimental packages section in the RetroPie-Setup script.

Ah, thank you very much! I'll give that a try tomorrow, I'm traveling today. Do you have a recommendation for where to get the level2.rom file or will that automatically be installed once I install the sdltrs emulator? I got my level2.rom file from removed by admin
        Thanks again!

There is information about the various legal options for obtaining the level2.rom in the sdltrs README file: https://github.com/RetroPie/sdltrs

I added that link to the TRS-80 docs for future reference.

My apologies. I had searched for a solution, but in my haste I forgot the link/ROM rule. It won’t happen again.

Thanks again for your help, unfortunately things still aren't working. I installed the experimental sdltrs package and I placed a level2.rom file in the bios directory, and I placed a .dsk file (of a games disk) in the roms/trs-80 directory. When I start the system I get the Tandy TRS-80 menu option, which is good, but when I select it to go into TRS-80 emulation mode, it goes to a black screen and just says NO SYS at the top. I can press F7 and get the SDLTRS Main Menu, but I can't get a DOS prompt. Any ideas? I've read through the forum trying to find an answer or more detailed instructions, but haven't found anything. Thanks again!

Please can you have the crc32 for level2.rom of the trs-80?
In the doc file the link for download is old. Error 404.
If can give me all crc32 for all bios?
                  Thank you very much.
                  Sorry for my bad english.
