Wireless Controller GEN Game S3 Retropie on Linux
-
@mitu Yes and detect all buttons
-
Does it have a 'mode switch' where you could instruct it to connect in 'PC Mode' ? From a internet search looks an Android first controller, with compatibility for connecting to a PC, but I think you need to start it in a certain way to work like PC compatible controller.
-
@mitu Ah, Yes, I find a way to connect with usb and I can use a BM - 703 to use via wireless, but no solutions to Bluetooth I think
-
@Tiagoline Do you have a model page from the vendor - with a support manual ? I'm not referring to using an USB dongle to connect it, but to start with a combination of buttons that would make the controller start differently - in PC compatibility mode.
-
@mitu @Tiagoline I looked up the controller, looks like there is a large red button in the center of the controller labled "GEN GAME" that controls the different modes.

Let's call Deedee to push the button.
-
@mitu "Dee Dee get out of my laboratory!"
-
@mitu I alredy see the manual, the first one Bluetooth, the second is like a multimedia function, the third is a iCade mode and the 4 it's a iOS support
-
@Tiagoline So there's no PC compatibility mode.
-
@mitu I think it's more a problem with my distro/Linux and the compability between retropie or retroarch, because in the Pi(The mini PC) Works normally from what I saw on some posts
-
@Tiagoline I saw a way to turn your Bluetooth gamepad into a Xbox 360 controller using xboxdrv but doesn't work, I follow everything but I got a error, and home button starts to blink fast
-
@Tiagoline - the following worked for me:
With the joypad in a powered-off state hold A+GEN GAME to enter pairing mode. The top two lights around GEN GAME should light up. Then, from the retropie Bluetooth menu choose option 1 (Register) and select the new Bluetooth device (I’m sorry, I forgot what it is called at this point) and choose pairing mode 1 (DisplayYesNo). The device name will change to “GamepadPlus”One note - for me, when configuring the controller in EmulationStation I had trouble mapping the left hat button. It always seems to skip it.
