Updated Skyscraper and now getting loads of errors
-
as per the title, I updated Skyscraper today, up until now it has worked pretty well, I seem to have to do loads of runs to get a set almost complete but there you go, it is still a great piece of software. But I have just started scraping my N64 romset and although a few are scraping ok I am getting loads of errors with the text:
ScreenScraper APIv2 returned invalid XML for the following query:
romnom=Bassmasters%202000%20%28USA%29.zip&crc=2E4C51B7&md5=54476B8C55C467D7EEA5E616DE2F427A&sha1=832E1670B0DE9ADC8514429F35B61B97A64EB867&romtaille=9970189
#21/360 (T1) Pass 1 ---- Game 'Bassmasters 2000 (USA)' not found :( ----Any ideas how to fix this, I have not hd this before the update...

I too have found the same issue when trying to scrape N64 roms. So you're not alone there.
-
I am finding it is also doing it with increasing regularity on PSX and Final Burn Alpha scrapes too. Skyscraper seems to be getting a little unstable when scraping now.
-
It's not all about Skyscraper - see https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/11826/versatile-c-game-scraper-skyscraper/1113 - it seems the ScreenScraper API has a few errors which didn't appear before. Try another scraping source.

@mitu thank you! And I stand corrected. I did try to find some sort of answer online but that thread you linked never came up. I have credentials for Screenscraper but didn't ever place my details into the config for Skyscraper. Now I have it works just fine! I do hope the issue in general is fixed soon though for everyone.
Thanks again!

Im the same, had an account but had never put it into skyscraper - all seems ok now...

I am having this issue as well. I had previously (yesterday) been able to scrap with no issues. Today I tried and got this error. I figured out how to get my credentials in and it is still giving me the error.

@cannuck23 Its seems their API may be having issues again. I just tested and cannot scrape anything from screenscraper currently.
-
@quicksilver I think there's an issue with the SSL certificate of their site, which was renewed yesterday. I've put a question on their forums to see how we can solve this.
-
@quicksilver and @mitu thank you both for replying. Hopefully it is back up soon.
-
@cannuck23 It should be working fine now - give it a try.
