Hello, I've been waiting a long time to try mame 2010 in RetroPie, it has fortunately gone from experimental optional, after testing I've seen many games that otherwise were not playable in any previous mame or Final Burn Alpha (any version ) and best of all is that many of these games work to 60/60 whole rato.Por an example my test results 59.90 / 60 fps in Raspberry pi 2 in world rally without overclock (no way to play this game is RetroPie if not mame 2010). Perhaps other games do not work as well, but only for games that do not work in other versions and work in this worthwhile. Many times I asked if there was way way to play mame2010 but everyone said it was completely unplayable, the results after my tests not say the same ...

After this explanation I want to make the request to include while developing and phaseof test mame2014-libretro in RetroPie as there are many differences with mame 2010 in romset (treated 4 years adding roms) and can play games that otherwise it not is possible.

This would give added value to users backfoot as I choose it as their arcades operating system / bartops against other more closed and difficult to customize.

Although this request is not carried out by the team I want to thank everyone's efforts and dedication to constantly improving RetroPie and glad to have gotten much mame2010.

      P.D: Sorry for my english

Mame 2010 is still available. You could even say it's been promoted as it can now be found in the 'Optional Packages'.

is there something specific you want to play in mame2015, that doesn't work in 2003/2010 or the bleeding edge mame ?

Supposedly, that game is unplayable on any version of Mame due to copy protection measures that aren't properly emulated yet.

@saitoh00 there's nothing stopping you running current mame in retropie. it's in the experimental section, called lr-mame. that runs the current romset from 2016.

it will likely have issues running on low-spec pis and I fancy that any game that isn't working in 2003/2010 already will probably run poorly.

I can add the 2014 libretro mame (There isn't actually a 2015), but I don't think it will have any advantages over the latest. I have a module for it that I added to a branch 19 days ago https://raw.githubusercontent.com/joolswills/RetroPie-Setup/1c3f42f297146c7a02857c36213558001be8a47e/scriptmodules/libretrocores/lr-mame2014.sh - it's just not been merged yet as I have only done minimal testing.

Thanks and sorry i change 159 romset for 2015, but its 2014. I cant wait to see it under exp section. I hope to see double wings or the gladiator working under RetroPie.

                          Regards

If some roms return to menu perhaps you have the wrong set. Cannot advise without the runcommand log.

We added lr-mame2010 (rom set 0.139) in September last year, and then the latest libretro mame.

@BuZz i try with the last romset and nothing occurs but only i try 3 or 4 roms.

I change the default core to lr—mame. I try more in the next days.

The mame2010 are much time in experimental in rc i see it under optional.

                                  Works really great thanks!!

which romset ? It's better to give actual versions. People say things like "the latest retropie" and you find out they are using the wrong one - so specifying versions avoids issues. Can you give me an example of something that should work that doesn't ?
