Long story short, other emulators work fine, but with PSX I will get a freeze a short time into actual gameplay. It will freeze for one second, then resume. I've tried playing from CHD files, and the same titles not compressed, with the same results. I've done some searching already and I have seen this attributed to two things...

    1. Bluetooth...I'm using a DualShock4, but it is hooked up with a USB cable, not synced with bluetooth...though I have not turned off my bluetooth module yet on my Pi.

    2. Card speed...I read that a Class 10 card is recommended, and has solved this issue for some, but that is what I'm currently using.

Does anyone have any suggestions, or has there been any new solutions to this issue?

    Thanks!

@njscorpio Please add more info about your system, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

Are you overclocking your PI ? Do you get any under-voltage flashes ?

I apologize for not including this info first (and no overclocking)...

Pi Model or other hardware: 3 B+
Power Supply used: I'm using the power supply included with a CanaKit, I believe 2.5a with a PiSwitch
RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): 4.4
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
USB Devices connected: USB keyboard, Dualshock4 via USB
        Controller used: Dualshock4 via USB
        Error messages received:
Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant):
Guide used: (Mention if you followed a guide)
File: (File with issue - with FULL path) all PSX games in the retropie PSX roms folder
Emulator: (Name of emulator - if applicable) lr-pcsx-rearmed

I hope that helps, I'm at work at the moment

EDIT: I'm not sure what an under-voltage flash is, but the only thing that is happening is the brief freeze.

EDIT 2: I had read a post somewhere about changing a setting to increase the read speed of the SD card reader...is that a possible solution? I don't want to go down that route if I don't need to, if the solution is more simple.

Is vibration enabled in the Quick Menu?

@pjft I do believe it is (I recall seeing it enabled and wondering when/how I'd make use of it).

So I disabled it, and played a few rounds of SNK vs Capcom 2, and some time around the hanger in Tony Hawk 2, and it works perfectly! Thanks! :D
