This is a theme design question, so not sure if it should go here or elsewhere on the forums. Mods feel free to move if so. I need to have a custom line or two of text for each console I'm doing. I know that most themes will pull scrapped metadata and display that in the game description. Here in this code you can assign the font to be used, position the text will appear on, font size, etc.

Is it possible to add a separate line of text, that is customize for each console? It would be static and would not need to scroll or populate from an XML file like the game metadata would.

I posted an example of doing exactly this just the other day: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/22800/add-console-year-next-to-games-count/2

Thanks so much! That does look like it might be what I'm after, but I still can't see to get it to work quite right. I have tried it a few different ways, but the code is not displaying properly. Can you upload links to the two XML files you reference in the other thread so I can see you're work-flow (and will help discover where I'm going wrong)
