Using wireless "Rock Candy" model if that matters. Supposedly both Apple & Windows compatible.
If I can fix this maybe a bunch of other strangeness might go away like can't navigate Retroarch menus.
You know you have a challenging system when you have to fix a basic thing like a keyboard...

@MaMikee By default, the keyboard layout is the UK one, use the
Raspi-configand switch the layout to US (under Localization options). -
