[Solved] Failed initializing SDL retropie-4.5.1-rpi1_zero
-
Hello,
I cannot make this work since version 4.5 (4.5.1 including).
I have portable pi zero with this added to the boot config:dtoverlay=pwm-2chan,pin=18,func=2,pin2=13,func2=4 overscan_left=-6 overscan_right=-6 overscan_top=-15 overscan_bottom=-15 framebuffer_width=320 framebuffer_height=240
All previous versions work, I have re-downloaded archive and even used a different SD card.
Any suggestions or wait for 4.5.2?

AFAIK 4.5.1 has version 4.14.x of the Linux Kernel included - are you sure your screenshots are from 4.5.1 ?
Can you post the completeconfig.txt
file ? -
@mitu I an 100% sure as I have downloaded it today, twice retropie-4.5.1-rpi1_zero.img.gz.

Can you try an update and choose to upgrade OS/packages ? This should add back the 4.14.x version of the Linux kernel.

@mitu Ok, flashed clean img, put:
dtoverlay=pwm-2chan,pin=18,func=2,pin2=13,func2=4 overscan_left=-6 overscan_right=-6 overscan_top=-15 overscan_bottom=-15 framebuffer_width=320 framebuffer_height=240
To be able to see stuff on the screen. Connected keyboard to be able to configure wifi dongle.
sudo ./RetroPie-Setup/retropie-setup.sh and NOT ~ << sudo ~/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.sh as it says in documenation https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Updating-RetroPie
Usual config... update script.. update system/underling or smth (hard to see on a small screen)...
After an almost hour it is done.
Reboot and it started :) into emulation station itself, did not have to re-configure autostart.
GBA game started just fine, so it seems to be fine now, just need to re-scrape games... -
