      @robotechvfx yes I mean the source code. If the projects aren't open source in the first place then you'd likely be hard pressed to get the developer to open source it. And then porting it to be used on Linux etc is a whole other thing.

        I never knew these games existed. These actually look pretty awesome! looks like i may need to dig out my old windows PC to give these a try!

          @capeman Do try them If you like old school Sonic games I garantee that they´ll be worth your time.
          But what would be better than digging out the old windows PC is if we could have these games running on the Pi

            Of course had to do some digging.

            These Sonic fan games are closed source, but run on a fan made game engine called the Sonic Worlds project, which is an open source project that runs on top of the Clickteam Multimedia Fusion 2.5 freamework (retail software) - A windows tool that can only export to Windows, Android, IOS, Flash or HTML 5.

            So there are way too many layers to this, haha. Looks like we're out of luck.

              @capeman I knew that the game ran on the Sonic Worlds engine, but I didn't know that it the engine ran on top of a retail software (Clickteam Multimedia Fusion 2.5 freamework).

                    It looks like the source is some sort of Flash/ActionScript (?) and you need Multimedia Fusion to 'compile' them. As far as I see, there's no Linux version of said program, so porting them over for RetroPie is not possible at the moment.

                          What about ExaGear? There's the possibility of running some windows x86 games on raspberry with that software.

                          ExaGear is a virtualization app that's able to run x86 apps on ARM devices. It offers installation methods for each app, and it's compatible with a lot of less-demanding games, such as Diablo 2, Fallout, Counter-Strike 1.6, etc. However, the app isn't free, and you have to pay a licence in order to use it.

                          There's the remote possibility of this app being able to run those Sonic games.

                            @Solid-One I think their RPI package was discontinued at the beginning of the year or so.

                                @Awesomegamer656 In the Hacks section. In example if you go to the page of Sonic - Hyper X, then you can download a romhack of Sonic 1.
