pi4 emulationstation startup

hello everyone i am a complete noob with raspberry pi and retropie and have been stuggleing to get retropie to boot emulationstation, i have followed ETA primes video on how do do it and have got to the point where i am trying to start emulationstation on startup and i am aware that the way described in his video has since been updated but i am still struggling any help would be appreciated( but please bare in mind i am a complete novice) TIA

I don't know how the video describes the installation, you can try ask the author of the video for guidance.
If you'd like to the try the on-going development branch for PI4 managed by RetroPie, then you'd need to perform a manual installation using a Raspbian Lite image and thefkms_rpi4branch of the RetroPie repository. You'll need to use the command line to do that, so if you're not familiar or comfortable doing that, then you should just wait until a Pi4 supported image will be released.
