I have a Retropie 4.4 system running on Raspberry Pie 3b+. All Video Snaps run nicely when the Pi first boots up (using OMXplayer). When I go to play a rom (eg. MAME 1942), then exit back to the Emulation Station menu, the Video snaps no longer play (but Screenshots still work). I'm using the ComicBook Theme. Only way to fix is to Quit ES (which goes to Command Prompt), then launch ES again.

I have the same theme, but running a more recent version of RetroPie (4.4 was released on April 2018, so there's quite some changes since then). Can you try and update EmulationStation ?

Thanks for the reply. I tried to do an upgrade, but it had many failed packages. So I ended up downloading the latest 4.5.1 Retropie image and building everything again from scratch.
