I know this has been asked before because I’ve been googling and I also read the GitHub page on the subject.

So a few solutions do exist but I’m apparently too stupid to understand the stuff I’m reading.

Is there a simple program that will go through my roms for me and say:

      “Here’s all your non-USA orphans/clones”
      “Here’s all your duplicates”
“Here’s all the roms that don’t function”
      “Want to delete them?”

It’s getting old going through all these.

        https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Validating,-Rebuilding,-and-Filtering-ROM-Collections pretty much covers it.

        Is there a simple program

i don't believe so. i hear romcenter (linked above) is simpler than clrmamepro, but that doesn't make it "simple". i think romset management is always going to be pretty tricky, given the infinite use cases.

That’s what I read and honestly it felt like reading a foreign language. I couldn’t follow any of it.
