@escc1986 perfect
-
how does it look ... did i do it right ?
-
its a start.
now we need to get it to work. -
i dont know why the buttons are not correctly working
i dont understand
we didnt map the 2 top buttons l button and r button
L = Space
R = f5
what is going on with this controller
-
the f5 you do. thats how you bring up the menu in scrumm to save and quit
-
yeah the f5 button is very importyant , your right
i just dont see how f5 is mapped to the
R Button
i didnt map
R button
or
L button
do you know why they are mapped .. and the other button are not mapped
TL2 = SELECT
TR2 = START
on my controller under test menu (evtest /dev/input/event0)
-
video of showing you
-
--ui-buttonmap a=BTN_LEFT,b=BTN_RIGHT,start=KEY_F5,back=KEY_ESC \
this came from my setup, since you need these for play anywaysthe rest is on you
--evdev-keymap BTN_EAST=a,BTN_SOUTH=b,BTN_[•]=x,BTN_[•]=y,BTN_[•]=lb,BTN_[•]=rb,BTN_TL2=back,BTN_TR2=start
BTN_[•]
this just means its blank till you add what button goes to itthis is what you have
so far the buttons you have mapped are btn east and south, and your TL buttons
thx for the vid.
this is a good thing cuz it is working, we just need to get the keys to do what we want
the big part is getting the dpad to work.
bad part is my xdrive is now not working. so i cant test it on mine just yet -
you welcome for the video
but i dont have an X , Y , LB , RB button
ok let me see
ok
R button = Z
L Button = WEST
--evdev-keymap BTN_EAST=a,BTN_SOUTH=b,BTN_[•]=x,BTN_[•]=y,BTN_WEST=lb,BTN_Z=rb,BTN_TL2=back,BTN_TR2=start
-
@escc1986
yeah the swtich controller have some messed up names for the buttons.
once you find out what name goes with what button then you can map ituse a note pad and write it down as you press them thats what i did
-
heres what i have at the moment, i cant test cuz my xdriv is just not working now.
change the buttons maps at you need them, but i hope that the dpad will work, cuz thats more on what i was working onif [ "$1" = "scummvm" ] then sudo killall > /dev/null 2>&1 xboxdrv sudo /opt/retropie/supplementary/xboxdrv/bin/xboxdrv > /dev/null 2>&1 \ --evdev /dev/input/event0 \ --silent \ --detach-kernel-driver \ --force-feedback \ --mimic-xpad \ --trigger-as-button \ --evdev-absmap ABS_HAT0X=dpad_x,ABS_HAT0Y=dpad_y \ --evdev-keymap BTN_EAST=a,BTN_SOUTH=b,BTN_[•]=x,BTN_[•]=y,BTN_[•]=lb,BTN_[•]=rb,BTN_TL2=back,BTN_TR2=start \ --ui-axismap dpad_x=REL_X:10,dpad_y=REL_Y:10 \ --ui-buttonmap a=BTN_LEFT,b=BTN_RIGHT,start=KEY_F5,back=KEY_ESC \ --ui-buttonmap guide=void,x=void,y=void,lb=void,rb=void,tl=void,tr=void,lt=void,rt=void, \ & fi

ok this might be a pain for you, and im sorry.
but wipe everything out of the runcommmand.save it in a txt file of course.
i want to see if there is something overriding what we are trying to do, cuz what you posted should of changed when you changed the mapping
also you have xboxdrv installed
reboot after you wiped the file
