RPi overclock question!
-
Hi all,
I ovverclocked my pi4 adding these lines to the config.txt:over_voltage=4
arm_freq=1950
gpu_freq=600
v3d_freq=750Then I started a retropie game session and I monitored clocks via Mac terminal. I saw arm and v3d to setted values but gpu is locked to max 500Mhz. Could someone help me to correctly OC my gpu as well?
Thanks for help.

The current stable kernel/firmware limits the GPU overclocking. I think a new firmware is necessary to be able to overclock the GPU again - there was a forum topic a few days ago with details. Why are you overclocking your PI ?

I haven't found gpu overclocking to be necessary on the pi4. There isn't any appreciable fps increase in mupen64plus, flycast or ppsspp. Cpu overclock did help some in ppsspp though.

@mitu I'm overclocking to increase dreamcast and N64 performances. I noticed that with that OC values my pi stays under 70 Celsius degrees and dreamcast games run very well. I hope to gain some frame overclocking GPU as well but from what I understood it's not so affecting.
