Will there be a module for running OpenBOR games available in the future for the PI4 ? Am using a Pi4 and it used to be available in the experimental section for the other version of Pi's but is not there now for the Pi4.

It's just not enabled for PI4, though it appears to start. We may enable it later and you could test it.

OpenBor has been enabled now for PI4 based system - you can give it a try. Don't forget to update your RetroPie-Setup script first, otherwise it will stay disabled.

@mitu Thank you. I enjoy my Beat em ups and others using OpenBOR. I was inquiring as I am in the process of transferring my info from my Pi3 to my Pi4. I realize the Pi4 image is just in premature stages before the release. I don't think I am the correct candidate for testing this for you folks. OpenBOR seems to have moved on signifcantly for versions and I'm not quite caught up yet. There is this thread OpenBOR - OpenBETA that explains how to move further with it that I haven't tried yet. Maybe somebody with more experience with it could test it for you folks. Thanks for adding it.

            Hello !

I tried it today on my Pi4 (weekly build image) and it seems that it doesn't start at all !

            Someone else tried ?

@Trauma I did try and it started for me. Can you post your log file - /dev/shm/runcommand.log ?

@mitu I did try to install OpenBor on my Pi4, but it does not start. I get this screen

                  IMG_3191.jpg

                  The /dev/shm/runcommand.log shows this:

                  Parameters:
                  Executing: SDL1_VIDEODRIVER=dispmanx pushd /opt/retropie/ports/openbor; /opt/retropie/ports/openbor/OpenBOR; popd
                  /opt/retropie/ports/openbor ~

That's strange, I get that screen without the dispmanx driver being added to the command line - that was the whole reason it was added. Needs more testing then.

Ok, there's should be a fix for this error - update the RetroPie-Setup script and re-install the openbor module, the screen resolution should be fine now.

@mitu Openbor launch succesfully now, however when I select a game (.pak) I come back to ES menu, it doesn't launch the game.

                          We're almost there. ! :p

@Trauma I don't think this is how it works - AFAIR .pak files must be unpacked first.
