    Hi all,

    I was just wondering if it is possible to change the list of emulators that are shown in the config menu that you can access by pressing A just before a ROM loads)?

    For example, the list shown for the option 0 Select default emulator for neogeo (lr fba next) in this menu?

    Concretely, if I place my NeoGeo ROMs in the /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/neogeo folder, then the list of emulators shown to me in this menu is of course restricted to the NeoGeo emulators (in my case this is gngeopi, lr fba next, lr fba, pifba). Basically, I would like to add lr-imame4all to this list.

    The reason why I ask is because I like to have my NeoGeo ROMs under a separate system in Emulation Station (rather than under the FBA system or Arcade system). Unfortunately, quite a few games (off the top of my head Battle Flip Shot, Art of Fighting 1 or 2) do not work with any of the libretro NeoGeo emulators, but they do work using other emulators, such as lr-imame4all. It would be great if I could just use this emulator from within the Emulation Station NeoGeo system.

    Apologies if this has been asked before, but it is quite difficult to search for this without getting a load of similar but not appropriate posts returned.

    Thanks in advance!!

      Check out /opt/retropie/configs/[some system]/emulators.cfg . That's the file where runcommand (the menu/emulator launcher itself) finds the list of possible emulators. You'd want to add the appropriate line for lr-imame4all there.

      I can imagine this is hard to word properly to get a good answer out of Google. No apologies necessary :-)

        they sure do. just tried all of those and they are working in lr-fba-next (default neogeo emulator). all neogeo games will work as far as I know. of course you need the correct romset.

          @bazmonkey

          Thanks a lot, I went there and indeed I was able to edit that list to include lr-imame4all in the list of emulators for the NeoGeo system in Emulation Station.

          Appreciate the help!

            Hi, yeah I thought I did have the correct romset, a set that matched the version number of the emulator... but obviously not :)

            For me the best option would indeed be to use lr-fba-next for NeoGeo, so I will investigate this further regarding the correct romset.

            Thanks for the help!

              @BingoLittle you can also just put them in the arcade folder- that has all of them in the menu.

                @herb_fargus Hi, yes well I have a load of ROMs in the arcade folder already, but wanted the NeoGeo ROMs in a separate folder to get to them easier basically.

                Thanks for all the help!
