Will the dev build upgrade to the official version?

Pretty much as per title, I’m loving the performance of the Pi4, and rather than having it sitting around doing nothing, may well install the weekly dev build. If I do that, will it eventually upgrade to the official build, or would I need to re-image when that becomes available?
As an aside, I follow the GitHubs, and can see just how much hard work you’re all putting into the new build. Just wanted to say well done:)

The Pi4 bits are already in the main branch (
master) of RetroPie, I don't think you'll need to re-image when an official release - supporting the PI4 - will be done. -
