Make more subfolders in vice c64 roms emulator directory?
-
Yes, according to linux foundamnetals everything preceed by a . is treated as hidden so the case is closed i guess... ':)
-
There's on option in EmulationStation to show hidden files or not. By default it's OFF, but you can turn it on to show the
.
folders and/or files. -
@mitu ive set the option on "on" but still no way, for eg both "n.1" and "n. 1" do not work, if i go for "n11" the numbers are displayed; it's a bug of it is intended to work that way?
-
@niculinux said in Make more subfolders in vice c64 roms emulator directory?:
both "n.1" and "n. 1" do not work
That's not a hidden folder/file name.
-
@mitu so that's an emulation station limitation, kinda? Hope it might get fixed in next relases, otherwise we have to live with it :)
-
I don't quite understand what needs to be 'fixed' or what 'limitation' is what you're talking about. Can you be more precise ? A detailed example would be useful.
-
gonna try to explain better - though it's a bit offtopic - so:
if i name a directory "super game n.11" or "super game n. 11" either way all that is after the dot is not showed in emulationstation, while if "super game n11" (without any dot) the numbers are visible.
In midnight commander actually the name is displayed correctly, so i thought it's an emulationstation thing. I don't know :(
-
@niculinux I think that EmulationStation interprets what is after the
.
as the file extension, and so it does not display it. -
I think @saccublenda is right, the extension is stripped/removed by EmulationStation, because a folder can also represent a game (i.e. Daphne for instance).
-
I would then change the directory name to "super game n 11" or "super game n11".
-
yes, actually i removed the dot and notice that subfolders characters color is tan, so enulationstation do regnize these, ok the case is closed! :)
